Durante Rentals Owners Honored During Small Business Week with Person of the Year Award
New York, June 6, 2016– The U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) has named Durante Rentals founders John Durante, Christopher Jones and Anthony Durante as the 2016 SBA New York District Office Small Business Person(s) of the Year. The award was presented in conjunction with 2016 National Business Week at a ceremony held at 26 Federal Plaza in New York City.
Since it was first declared in 1963 by John F. Kennedy, the president of the United States continues to make an annual proclamation announcing National Small Business Week. The week represents an opportunity for Americans to pay tribute to the important role that small business owners play in the economy. Every year the Small Business Association highlights a few outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners who have made a significant impact by driving innovation, creating jobs and increasing America’s competitiveness. “We are thrilled to be recognized as the Person(s) of the Year by the US Small Business Association as small businesses are the backbone of the American corporate landscape,” said Chief Financial Officer, Christopher Jones.
Over the past few years Durante Rentals has maintained a consistent annual growth rate of 45%-50%. With recent new store openings in Carmel and West Nyack, and a new Brewster location opening in a few weeks, they continue to expand their geographic footprint and staff.
“We are very excited to receive this award,” said CEO Anthony Durante. “As our business continues to grow, we also need to keep growing as people to meet the new challenges expansion presents. It is a real honor to be recognized for the hard work we have put in helping to bring Durante Rentals to where it is today. This award is not only a personal award for my two partners and myself but a company-wide award that we will share with our entire Durante team.”
